==History==
St. Columba's was officially opened by Archbishop Donald Mackintosh of Glasgow, on 16 June 1933, having only taken 1 year and 3 days from initial foundation work to opening, at a cost of £50,000 including roads and fittings. However, the original school dates back to 1909. It was originally located in Peat Road, Greenock before moving to Gourock in 1971. In 2009 it moved back to Greenock to its current site at Inverkip Road.〔(School Information )〕
